Shadow Buddies has a lot of amazing events coming up during the holidays all over the country, as well as right here in Kansas City!

UMKC Charity Basketball Tournament

What goes together better than basketball and Shadow Buddies? Join us on Thursday, November 17th, from 6:30 - 8:00pm when UMKC's Beta Theta Pi will be hosting a charity basketball tournament. This tournament will consist of four teams made up of members from fraternities and other campus social groups. The event will be held at UMKC's Swinney Recreational Center, located at 5030 Holmes St. Kansas City, MO. Admission is only $3!

Pink Party in Atlanta

We are excited to announce that on Tuesday, November 29th we will be hosting the 6th annual Pink Party alongside Atlanta Falcons wives at the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Our pink parties provide a chance for little girls and their moms to get a day of pampering, taking their minds off of the stress and loneliness of being in the hospital. Holiday Home Camp

We are doing an event at the Holiday Home Camp, located on the edge on Wisconsin's Geneva Lake, on Wednesday, November 30th. The program was developed in 1887 by Chicago industrialists and is aimed to help disadvantaged children learn the skills to be productive members of their families, schools and communities.

Bringing Buddies to Children in Chicago

Lyme Disease is horrible disease characterize by a painful bulls eye-shaped rash, as well as fatigue and flu-like symptoms. We want to bring awareness to children who have been diagnosed with or live at home with someone who has Lyme Disease. On Tuesday, December 13th Buddies will be delivered to the University of Chicago's Comer's Children's Hospital. Learn more about Comer's Children's Hospital.

reStart Shelter Visit

On Wednesday, December 14th we are feeding the individuals and families currently being assisted by reStart, Inc. shelter and surprising over 150 at the shelter with toys for the children!reStart, Inc. was established in 1981 and has been dedicated to ending homelessness in Kansas City ever since. It is the only shelter in Kansas City that provides assistance like housing and support services with the goal of self-sufficiency for all persons including singles, couples, gay, straight and trans-gendered individuals, as well as unaccompanied youth ages 12-18, persons with HIV/AIDS, and individuals recently released from prison or from psychiatric hospitalization.
