Earlier this year, the Shadow Buddies Foundation was approached by a generous donor with a very unique fundraising opportunity. The donors name is Kyle Hammerschmidt and he is a Fiduciary Adviser with MoKan Financial in Overland Park, KS. Hammerschmidt informed us that he teaches finance courses to pre-retirees and then turns around and donates the tuition to a different beneficiary each year. He had heard of the Shadow Buddies Foundation, and decided to choose our organization as this year’s benefactor. The funds were raised by those attending Retirement Education courses, Medicare 101 and Social Security & Taxes, Hammerschmidt taught at the KU Edwards Campus. We are so grateful for generous donors such as Kyle who continue to spread “Miles of Smiles” to those who need them the most!
