ABOUT HEART BUDDY

Hi, I’m the Heart Buddy! Designed to be a friend “just like me” for your child, I’m also great as a teaching tool!

I was the very first Buddy to join the family when Miles Postlethwait had numerous heart surgeries after he was born. Since then, doctors, nurses, child life professionals and others have used Shadow Buddies to chase away fears about childhood disability and illness, provide comfort, and education your child and other young patients through medical play therapy.

I have an incision down my chest and a red, mended heart. I also come with a big, friendly smile, heart-shaped eyes and a brightly colored gown! I’m more than just a heart doll—I’m a cuddly friend just like them!
