ABOUT DIABETIC BUDDY

Hi, I’m the Diabetic Buddy! Just like your child, I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, but I know that we can learn to cope with it together. Medical professionals use me to help chase away fears about childhood disability and restore confidence, as well as for play therapy and for education. I especially love to teach kids that it’s important to be responsible and always have their supplies on-hand.

I come individually packaged, and I’m dressed in a brightly colored gown. I also have finger pricks that signify my glucose testing and am embroidered with a lifelike insulin pump. I’m more than a diabetes doll—I’m a cuddly friend just like them.
