Honoring Miles Postlethwait with the Shadow Buddies Foundation, who helped his mother, Marty, co-found the Shadow Buddies Foundation at the young age of 8 years old.  Miles faced multiple medical challenges himself throughout childhood, and created a “Buddy” to help other children that were going through treatments like Miles.  These Buddies are condition specific to a child’s disease or diagnosis and are designed to be a friend, “just like me”, giving children a friend for a lifetime.  Miles has helped make an impact here in Kansas City with over 150,000 Buddies delivered to local children in the hospital here in Kanas City.  Shadow Buddies has designed over 28 different condition-specific Buddies for children and their families and is celebrating 24 years providing hope, love, and compassion to over 1.6 million children worldwide.
