Donna Pitman shares the story about 50 local children with life-challenging illnesses that wee transported to the North Pole and a winter wonderland on behalf of the United Airlines employees based in Kansas City and the Shadow Buddies Foundation.Fantasy Flight was organized to give back to communities by the employees of United Airlines. The program began in 1989 and continues in many areas throughout the United States. For the Kansas City area this year, they have selected The Shadow Buddies Foundation to work with again. Shadow Buddies are condition specific dolls designed to be a friend, “just like me” for seriously ill or medically challenged children and adults.
