Recently, 50 of our pediatric patients received the trip of a lifetime when they got a chance to fly to the North Pole right before Christmas to see Santa. Thank you to The Shadow Buddies Foundation, United and Kansas City International Airport for making this happen!
“These children may not be able to spend Christmas at home with their families, so this special trip allows them to experience some extra holiday spirit under the supervision of health care professionals,” said Tammy Peterman, President of Kansas City Operations, System Executive Vice President, System Chief Operating Officer, System Chief Nursing Officer, The University of Kansas Health System. “We’re so excited to be part of this fantastic program with Shadow Buddies Foundation.”
